HOW THE HIKEPRO® WORKS
EXTRA COMFORT WITH EVERY STEP
Every step starts with the heel. This is exactly where the first phase of the HikePro® support comes in: The high-performance damping element under the heel minimizes harmful vibrations when the foot is placed and actively protects against overload.
FIRMLY HOLD IN HIKING SHOES
When walking downhill, the foot must not slide forward in the shoe. This creates the hiker's worst enemies: bubbles. Thanks to our special anti-slip technology in the heel and the anatomical support in the metatarsus, the foot remains securely in the shoe even on the steepest downhill sections and the friction on the sole is reduced.
PROTECTION AND SUPPORT
Your metatarsal heads are sensitive and can quickly overload on long hikes. That's why we give you an extra portion of cushioning in the forefoot to prevent burning sensations and discomfort in the forefoot. In the middle area of the HikePro®, your foot is dynamically supported under your longitudinal arch - this is how we prevent and help with injuries such as plantar fascitis and heel spurs, which many poorly equipped hikers can encounter on a tour.
Every foot and every movement is individual. We don't believe in a rigid insole that just matches the shape of your foot. That is why we have developed the dynamic CURREX insole and developed a system in thousands of motion analyzes that allows every athlete to be classified into one of three profiles; to do this, we focus on the shape of the foot and the leg axis. You can find out whether you need a HIGH, MED or LOW profile here:
CURREX IN EVERY SHOE
We have one goal:
to help you stay healthy for a lifetime.
Björn Gustafsson, founder of CURREX and former triathlon world champion, had to give up his career due to a serious overload injury to his shin. His years of experience as a professional athlete and an expert in motion analysis have helped him to develop the CURREX insole. Would you like to find out more about Björn and his story?
OUR MOTIVATION? YOUR FEEDBACK
On the E5 over the Alps
Good mountain hiking boots B / C are a prerequisite for crossing the Alps. In preparation, my wife and I ran over 400 km in Meindl and Lowa shoes and the original soles. That was OK, but we wanted a little more comfort and therefore tried the CURREX HikePro. The first good impression during test hikes in the Rhön was fully confirmed on the demanding 7-day tour in September 2020 on the E5. The difference to the standard sole is clearly noticeable and we are both very satisfied with the HikePro.
Basically a very good product, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right!
I am a long-distance hiker and have been on the road for about 700km. I invested in Currex because it promises a 1000km guarantee for the insoles. Unfortunately this is not the case for me because the sole in the heel area has already worn off and I now have to order new insoles without having reached the hoped-for 1000km. The comfort of the insoles is highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not given for me.
Ahoy Julia, thank you very much for your rating of our HikePro and we are sorry that you are not happy with the quality! As you described, the sole should last at least 1.000 kilometers. We would like to send you a new pair at our expense, so that you can put CURREX through its paces while hiking and we can once again prove our quality. I look forward to your feedback, if you are okay with trying CURREX again :) Greetings, Denise from the CURREX team
Currex insole "HikePro"
I ordered these insoles because my orthopedic insoles do not fit in my hiking shoes because they are too thick. I have now found that the Currex sole helps me when hiking. I have problems with the right foot (flat foot :-)) but now it is much better. I can't really compare it, as I can't get the insoles into my hiking shoes, as mentioned, but it is a significant relief.
First sole did not fit, returned and money was transferred back. Second sole fits perfectly, best walking experience, recommended sole, great service!
